Organ recital

Our age cohort now holds regular organ recitals–whenever we gather, we spend too much time reciting which organ or body part is currently giving us grief. Unfortunately, as Mike L wisely observes, “I am seeing more and more of our fellow CD Masters players being stricken with illness or injury lately. We might want to think of including a small section of your notes on updates on player status.”

Mike is right: This has been an exceptionally heavy year for injury and illness among our fellow Masters. So we will try to keep everyone up to date, as best we can, on the medical miracles that help keep us alive and, if lucky, on the ice.

In this organ recital, we thank Scott R for reporting that Mike Gingras had successful bypass surgery, and we wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see him join the several other Cardiac Kids who still play or coach with us. Dan S is next up on that list, and we wish him all the puck luck we can muster as well.

The same to those with broken body parts, like Ray F, Jorge B and John M. Please feel free to update the blog on your progress, if you wish, so we can share it with the class.

Sadly, Billy Anslow, a hockey friend to many Masters, passed away last week. His obituary is available here. The hockey community offers a heartfelt stick tap and condolences to all who knew him.

Keep it tuned here for future organ recitals, though let’s hope not too often.
