Season ends, appropriately, in a tie and a screw-up

The ’23-’24 CDMHC season limped to a close as Red and White played to a 2-2 tie in the final game of the year. And in typical Masters fashion, the scoresheet vanished.

“I left the rink with the scoresheet. But I believe it was written on magic paper, because it disappeared,” Head White Guy Mike S reports. He credits goals to himself and Mark W, with RA L getting both Reds. Red Coach Fudge gives two assists each to Mike G and Ralph M. No one mentioned the goalies. Sorry goalies. If you want to claim your tie, file a report with the league offices.

The Department of Scoresheet Analysis also reports that, despite the Blogmaster never receiving an apology from the White team for its egregious chirping, the points from that game have been added to the final statistics anyway, because it doesn’t care about the BM’s feelings.. But the Blogmaster also gives equal points to Scorekeeper Gronk, just because it’s funny. Gronk, the greatest scorekeeper scorer in league history, can make his check out to “The Great and Powerful Blogmaster,” and deliver it at the season-ending banquet March 24.

Congratulations to all on another successful season; to Viagara Cup Champion Blue; to the other three of the four best teams in the league; and to everyone who makes this league a model of parity and parody. Tune in after the banquet for a final post and good luck to all those participating in the Capital Cup. Time to break out the golf clubs and tune up the boats. Enjoy your summers.

O great Bllogaster, I will gladly accept any points that are sent my way. It is an honor and a privilage to be the greatest scorekeeper scorer in league history! It could be a record that may never be broken. Meet me in the parking lot after the banquet for your compensation,
